This programme is appropriate for infant, junior, primary and secondary school SENCOs. Either new to post or those that have been in post but have not accessed LA induction during this time.
During this programme a wide range of leadership and management topics will be addressed. The programme is flexible and can respond to the needs and wishes of the group.
New SENCOs will have the opportunity to have professional dialogue with experienced SENCOs that are currently in post in schools, sharing good practice, exemplar templates and resources. Further school based support can be further accessed such as coaching, mentoring or to address specific SEN priorities in greater depth.

Interventions - delegates should bring examples of interventions they are currently finding useful Preparing for the transition and working collaboratively Holding difficult conversations and management of SEN meetings Effective use of LSAs and support staff Working collaboratively, e.g. role of outreach, EPS
Greater understanding of the role of SENCO and in the context of SBC
