The Borough SENCO programme will further increase knowledge and understanding of statutory and local (SBC) process, proceedures and provision. The programme is flexible and can respond to the needs and wishes of the group. These areas may be revised as needs arise or develop throughout over the year.

There is an annual subscription cost for accessing the SEND CPD menu which also includes the annual SEND Conference, bespoke support within school or College settings for new SENCOs and new to the menu this year is the opportunity to access Governor and NQT courses (via NQT induction programme / Governor Services).

Description

Update on SEND assessment and special school regional response
Moderation, sharing good practice from the special schools and an opportunity for question and answers linked to SEND assessment
Update on SEND - local and national priorities
EHCP & Health updates

For this session, each school SENCO should bring copies of evidence (in whatever form is most appropriate at school level) linked to how do you assess the progress of SEND pupils that are working below expectations.

Outcomes

Increase knowledge and understanding of statuatory and local (SBC) process, proceedures and provision.
