ParkLives Southend is back!

Calling all children, young people & families

I’m pleased to inform you that for the fourth year running we will be running the popular community programme, ‘ParkLives Southend.’

As you may remember from last year, ParkLives Southend is an exciting programme of fun and free activities that encourage children, young people and families, of all abilities, to get outdoors and make the most of Southend’s local parks, meet new people and enjoy new experiences.

Led by the Council’s Sport and Leisure Team, experienced instructors from community sport and physical activity organisations will deliver 20 free activities in Chalkwell park from the end of July for four-weeks through the Summer.

These free, fun, and informal activities will include Street Basketball, Dodgeball, Rounders, Scooter Sessions and new for this year, the programme features Boxing and Kickboxing sessions, Tennis and Tri-Golf and Street Golf sessions!

What's more, ParkLives Southend sessions don’t cost local young people and families a thing – every activity is FREE

The 4-week programme starts on Monday 29th July, with a Kickboxing and Boxing session from 11:15am until 12:15pm. Families, children and young people from across the town are invited to come along with their friends, join in the fun and sign up for vibrant and varied sporting activities over the Summer, which are totally free and right on their doorstep.

Attached is the ParkLives Southend 2019 Timetable which gives dates, times and locations of all our sessions

Advance booking is advised to secure a place on any of the sessions.
