On behalf of the Southend Youth Council, I would like to say thank you for showing interest in our '1757 Voices' Mental Health and Emotional Well-being charter. For the past year, the Youth Council has been committed to striving for better Mental Health support for Southend students, and to giving them a voice in the community to elevate their wishes for better Mental Health support.
All Southend schools are now able to sign up to the 1757 Voices Charter formally via the below link:
Please find attached a copy of the charter and supporting notes which are a set of guidelines and suggestions to help schools to adhere to the points of the charter.
This will provide your school with an excellent opportunity to commit to the aims of the charter, and to show the rest of Southend, current and prospective students and their families, that your school is one that is taking initiative in supporting students with their Mental Health and Emotional Well-being.
We hope that your school will sign up to our charter in due course, responding to the wishes of Southend pupils.
